Dr. Maya Schoonover grew up in Lansing, Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hope College before completing her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology at Northwestern University. Her final year of training took place at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Schoonover’s professional interests include hearing aids, tinnitus management, implantable devices, and clinical research.

She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and is Board Certified in Audiology. She is licensed as an Audiologist in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and surprising her husband with her many crafty hobbies. Dr. Schoonover is passionate about reconnecting people through optimal hearing and is committed to using best practices to improve her patients’ hearing and quality of life.
