Hearing Aids: Sales and Service The audiologists, Judith Albrecht and Janyce Mose, dispense and service an extensive line of hearing aids with a broad selection of advanced technology. Designed with computer technology to match a person's hearing loss and listening needs, today's hearing aids are more complex and much more effective than in the past.
Hearing Aid Warranty service Hearing instruments that were fitted by us will be serviced at no charge while under warranty. If purchased elsewhere, there will be a handling charge for warranty repairs; or charges based on time spent for in-office services, such as minor repairs, cleaning, and programming adjustments.
Hearing Aid checks- Electro-acoustic analysis can confirm that hearing aids are functioning up to manufacturer's specifications. We can check to be sure the directional microphones and noise management features are working as they are designed.
Audiometric Evaluations pure tone air and bone conduction thresholds, speech recognition ability, in quiet and in noise, tympanometry (measures the eardrum movement and middle ear status), otoacoustic emissions (precise test of the inner ear)
Hearing Aid evaluations A hearing aid evaluation will include the measurement of the pattern and degree of hearing loss, loudness perception characteristics (what levels are comfortable and when sound becomes uncomfortably loud, for both speech and tones), speech understanding in quiet and noise, and analysis of listening needs. If needed, we will also complete tests that determine your Acceptable Noise Level and if there are areas in your inner ear that are unaidable (meaning that if we try to amplify those pitches, they will just sound like noise)
Custom Ear pieces
Musicians' earplugs The earplug of choice for the performing musician or concert goer. Whether you are into Mozart or Metallica, the flat attenuation (noise reduction) characteristics let you hear you music accurately but at a safer level. The earplug is a canal-only earmold that is very small and unobtrusive. With a choice of either the ER9, ER15 or ER25 filters, the musicians' earplug is the choice for the most discriminating performing musicians or music lovers.
Custom in-ear monitors or earpieces for stemmed in-ear monitors We will make custom molds for your current in-ear monitors or take the impressions of your ears and order the monitors from Westone, a manufacturer of quality earphones with single, dual or triple drivers.
Visible Speech Mapping-In-the-ear measurement of the audibility of live or recorded speech
'Visible Speech mapping' is now available and being used to more accurately fine tune hearing aids.
